MoU signed between MAIL and MoMP to purchase 20 metric ton fertilizers from Mazar-e-Sharif power plant factory Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock and Ministry of Mines and Petroleum signed a MoU,

according to which the MAIL to aim increasing domestic products and supplies 20.000 metric tons of chemical fertilizer required by 200 thousand farmers of Mazar-e-Sharif Power Plant.

 Nasir Ahmad Darani, Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, said: Our goal is to purchase and distribute the mentioned amount of fertilizers demonstrate supporting domestic products aside of strengthen local economic and increasing farmers’ income. Nargis Nehan, the Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum said: We expressed thankful from leadership of MAIL that claimed commitments and responsibilities to support domestic products and specially products of Mazar-e-Sharif Power Plan Factory.

 Our approach is to sustain Self-sufficiency at Mazar-e-Sharif Power Plant Factory in order to compete at private market. MAIL is supposed to buy over 20 thousand metric ton chemical fertilizers in order to distribute to over 200 thousands farmers in 356 districts of 34 province and 400 thousand hectare lands. According the advantages of the MoU, the MAIL will receive each bag 50 Kg equal to 1965 AFG from Mazar-e-Sharif Power Plant and MoMP, and then the MAIL will contribute at 625 AFG, 35.24 % discount to farmers throughout Afghanistan.
