Deputy Minister for Policy and Programs

Mir Ahmed Javid Sadat was born in Mazar-e-Sharif province, north of Afghanistan. He completed his school Education in Mazar-e-Sharif. He obtained his first master degree from Kabul Polytechnic University in 1997. He pursued further educations in UK and those include a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management from University of Kent, a Master Degree of Economic and Social Studies in Development Management from University of Wales, and a Master Degree in Public Policy from University of Oxford.

He has worked in national and international positions in countries such as Afghanistan, Pakistan, and UK. He also served as Director General of Civil Service Management at Independent Administrative Reform and Civil Service Commission between years 2008-2011, and has been working as Deputy Minister for Policy and Programs at Ministry of Mines and Petroleum since 2011 to present. Mir Ahmed Javid also worked as Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum for a period of two and half months.
