Seminar on Kabul Underground Water

A seminar on the potential of Kabul underground water took place by Geo-engineering Department and researching team of JAICA in Conference Hall of Ministry of Mines.
At first, the Minister of Mines Waheedullah Shahrani gave the introduction and said: “JICA cooperated and helped Afghanistan in research of Geo-engineering and hydro-geology and they promised to extend their cooperation to coming years.
In 2010 important matters are planned on environment and water supply, the Minister of Mines added.
The Team leader of JAICA Mr. Kawasaki also while giving information about geophysical methods and 3rd year of researches (3rd year researches of 8th technical committee,  aquifer researches, water measuring and capacity building) talked on plan for 4th researching year an educational program on Kabul underground water  which was held in Japan.
The head of Geo-engineering and Hydrogeology Department, Eng. Mohammad. Naeem Tokhi talked about Japan activities on Kabul underground water and added: “the researches of underground water of Kabul basin began on June 2006 by ODA project of JAICA and were funded by Japan.
Core engineer of geo-engineering researches Department, Eng. Asadullah Yusaf, talked about his trip to Japan and a seminar on Kabul underground water which took place in Japan.
